Our skills in the field of vehicle development, lightweight design and innovative use of materials are used in many areas. We develop high-performance sports cars, commercial vehicles, as well as SUVs and multifunctional equipment carriers based on lightweight construction principles. Our technologies are even used in aviation.

For some time now, there has been a further focus on the development of electric vehicles. VELA works here for the Silicon Valley startups on luxury EVs as well as on the autonomously driving city vehicles of the automotive future.

 

We combine all in-house competencies that are required for the development of vehicles. In particular, construction, FEA, CFD and crash calculation as well as vehicle simulation are used by the employees at the Berlin and Kaufbeuren locations. This wide-ranging expertise enables the development team to efficiently implement complete vehicles from a holistic point of view - including chassis, body structure, exterior and interior.

 

This is supplemented by the in-house prototype workshop with measurement technology, which offers a wide range of vehicle-related services, from quality analysis to re-engineering of components.

 

VELA Performance GmbH is one of only a few companies worldwide that are certified by the World Motor Sports Authority FIA to calculate safety structures.
